Who we are

PluginNests publishes software products including WordPress plugins and Shopify apps. Website: pluginnests.com. Contact: support@pluginnests.com.

What we collect

WordPress plugins (via Paddle):

  • Order data: name, email, billing country, and invoice details
  • License & activation data: license key, site URL(s), activation/deactivation timestamps, plugin/version metadata
  • Support data you share with us (emails, screenshots, logs)

PhotoPad (Shopify app):

  • Your Shopify store domain and access token (required to authenticate API requests)
  • Product image URLs (processed temporarily, not stored permanently)
  • App settings (padding, background color, aspect ratio preferences)
  • Usage counts (number of images processed per month, for plan limit enforcement)
  • Billing and subscription status (managed by Shopify Billing API)

Image processing

Product images are fetched from your Shopify store, processed on our servers (resizing, padding, background removal), and uploaded back to your store. Images are processed in memory and are not stored permanently. AI background removal runs locally on our infrastructure — no images are sent to third-party AI services.

Payments

For WordPress plugins, we use Paddle as our Merchant of Record. For PhotoPad, subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed through the Shopify Billing API. We do not receive or store card details.

How we use data

  • To deliver downloads, manage licenses, and provide updates and support
  • To process product images according to your settings
  • To enforce monthly usage limits based on your subscription plan
  • To detect abuse and maintain security
  • To send essential service emails (receipts, license notices). No unsolicited marketing without consent.

Retention

We retain order and license records for as long as required for accounting, tax, security, and support purposes. When you uninstall PhotoPad, your session data is automatically removed via Shopify's app/uninstalled webhook.

Third-party services

  • Paddle — payment processing and tax compliance for WordPress plugins
  • Shopify API — to read and update your product images
  • Shopify Billing API — to manage PhotoPad subscriptions and purchases
  • Crisp — for customer support chat (subject to Crisp's privacy policy)
  • Hosting/IT providers — for our website and email infrastructure

Sharing

We share data only with the third-party services listed above and when required by law. We do not sell or rent your data.
